Society of Physics Students at UT
The Society of Physics Students at the University of Tennessee is a student led organization for students interested in the study of physics. We are open to all students with an interest in better understanding their world.
We, as a club, serve a variety of roles for our students, the department and the community at large. For students we serve as a social group. We have weekly meetings where students come to discuss almost anything and everything. We usually have one or two move nights during the semester as well as host other social gatherings such as the annual spring picnic.
As a very active club, the UTK chapter of SPS was very pleased to take over twenty students to the 2012 Sigma Pi Sigma Quadrennial Congress. This was the largest gathering of undergraduate physics majors ever, and our members felt as though Worlds really were Connected!
